ADR: Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigerator (ADR)

The Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigerator (ADR) was flown on the Astro-E satellite, a joint Japanese-NASA X-ray astronomy project and was used to cool one of the satellite’s X-ray detectors.
